The Subalyuk Museum was situated north of the Municipal Culture Centre. A small display portrays the everyday life and reality of the Subalyuk cave Neanderthal man, through the re-creation of the excavation site and documents. The Subalyuk finds are the oldest marks of Neanderthal presence in Central Europe. Apart from the replicated Neanderthal remains one may also see the stone tools they used, both genuine and replicas and prehistoric animal remains.
