Dłużec  is a town in which Wolbrom originated – that is where the two village administrators, half-brothers, Hilary and Wolfram received from Ladislaus the Short huge areas of land, on which a new town originated taking its name after one of the brothers. A mysterious mound with a chapel and a larch church from 1780 attest to the town’s former glory. The mound is probably the lace after a cone settlement, where once stood a residential defensive tower – the residence of the village owners, possibly Wolfram and Hilary. The Church of St Lawrence and Nicholas with 15th, 16th and 17th century interior was included into the Małopolska Trail of Wooden Architecture. The main altar is made in the late Renaissance style. The two side altars are also valuable: the one with a Gothic triptych of a figure of the Virgin Mary and the altar of St Nicholas.
